David Ronald Staebell

March 13, 1943 - June 30, 2025

David Ronald Staebell, age 82, passed away peacefully at his home in Denver, Colorado, on June 30, 2025. A proud and dedicated veteran, David served four years in the U.S. Army, with his final year spent in Vietnam as a sergeant with the 199th Light Infantry Brigade. After his military service, David continued to serve his community for 29 years as a dedicated police officer with the Denver Police Department, retiring as a sergeant.

David was preceded in death by his brothers Jerome, Dick, and Don Staebell; and his sisters Pat (Ron) Stainbrook and Mary Sears.

He is survived by his loving wife, Connie; his brother, Bernie (MaryAnn) Staebell of Aurora, Colorado; sister-in-law Cindy Staebell; brother-in-law Kendall Sears; countless nieces, nephews, and extended family who will remember him fondly for his warmth, strength, and unwavering support.

A committal service for David will be held Tuesday, July 15, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 4400 W. Kenyon Ave., Staging Area "C", Denver, CO 80236.
