Master’s Degree University of Northern Colorado in Special Education
Continued working after teaching at UPS, Frontier, and other jobs
Don was a strong Christian, a master of gab, and a kind and serving person who will be missed dearly
Died July 27, 2024 at home in Aurora, CO peacefully with family near his side
Don was preceded in death by his parents Lucille (Lajeunesse) and Steve, and his brother Robert Schmidt
Don is survived by his wife Lois (Darvas) Schmidt of 60 years, a brother Steve and sister Clara Kingdom. His daughter, Reneé (Schmidt) and Bob Garth, and son, Jason and Wendy and 4 grandchildren.

A memorial service for Donald will be held Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Beck Recreation Center, 800 Telluride Street, Aurora, CO 80011, followed by a reception at 4:00 PM.
