Born on June 23, 1976, in Northglenn, CO to Errol and Sheila Ketterling, Ehren grew up in Brighton and graduated from Brighton High School. He lived a life devoted to enriching those around him with his vibrant personality and unwavering dedication to both family and work.
A proud resident of Strasburg, Ehren built a respected career spanning more than two decades as an electrician, primarily with Focus Electric. His strong work ethic and exceptional skill were evident to colleagues and clients alike. He also cherished his time working as a farm hand and driving an 18-wheeler—pursuits that brought him fulfillment and joy.
On April 23, 2011, Ehren married the love of his life, Annette. Their bond was deep and enduring. He was preceded in death by his mother and father. He is survived by his beloved wife, Annette; his stepdaughter, Brittnie, and her husband, Tarek; his cherished grandchildren, Yasmeen and Khalil; his niece, Kahli; his brother, Dean; his sister, Lori; and many extended family members and dear friends.
Ehren’s passions were as remarkable as the man himself. He cherished life on “his farm,” taking pride in caring for his animals and teaching his grandchildren the duties of farm life. He had a special love for his horses—Copper, Pearl, and Harley—and was an avid and talented woodworker, often building for his home and working on projects alongside his family.
Gifted with perfect pitch and the rare ability to play virtually any instrument, he often serenaded Annette with song. He especially loved teaching his grandchildren how to play music, sharing his passion with every note. In the kitchen, his legendary mashed potatoes and smoked meats became treasured family favorites. His loyal dogs, Ruger, Max, and Willy—were constant companions. Whether tinkering with old machines to bring them back to life or sharing stories filled with humor and warmth, Ehren lived fully—with heart, soul, and steady hands.
An old soul with a generous spirit, Ehren leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and hard work that will live on in all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held on March 6, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Olinger Hampden Mortuary & Cemetery, 8600 East Hampden Avenue, Denver.
Though he will be deeply missed, Ehren’s spirit and the memories he created will forever remain in the hearts of his loved ones.
