

Eileen Sylvester died on April 1, 2016 at Denver Hospice Center. She was born in Kearney, Nebraska on June 22, 1922 to Loice and Dorothy Seerley. She graduated from Kearney High School in 1939. After graduation she worked at the Buffalo County Court House from 1939 until 1942 where she met and married her husband, Lloyd Sylvester. To this union were born three sons and one daughter. After moving to Denver in 1952, Eileen worked at the Great Western Sugar Company and later as Industrial Engineer at Safeway Stores , Inc. She was preceded in death by her husband on December 12, 1971, by her older sister, Virginia and by her younger brother, Donald. She is survived by her sons Gary, Randy and Marc and by her daughter April. She is also survived by son-in-law, George Blissett and daughters-in-law Sue Sylvester and Marie Kelly, five grandchildren, Kyle, Lane, Dana, Tanya and Sean and six great grandchildren. Eileen enjoyed traveling, gardening and spending time with family and friends. She will be remembered for her kindness, quiet strength, love of family and wise counsel.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at 1pm at Olinger Hampden Mortuary in the chapel. Friends are invited to a reception following the memorial service also at Olinger Hampden Mortuary. Eileen will be laid to rest at Olinger Hampden Cemetery at 3pm.
