Florence Eva Snell was born to Charles and Eva Snell at the family home in Denver with the assistance of a midwife. She was the youngest of five children, three brothers, Harold, Alan & and Leroy and a sister Eudora.
She attended Lincoln and Washington Park Elementary for grades 1 -6
In 7th grade the family move to Ponca City, Oklahoma
The following year they returned to the family home in Denver where Florence attended Byers Junior High School
Florence then attended South High School where she participated in Pep Club, Girl Reserves, and Leisure Time Club and graduated in May 1935.
On September 11,1935 Florence married Charles Edward McDaniel
They had four children
Charles Kent - December 13, 1937.
Keith Edward - December 8, 1941
Sharon Ann - April 30, 1947
Susan Faye - September 11, 1949.
Husband Charles Edward died in 1978
Son Charles Kent’s died in 2011.
Florence lived almost her entire life in the Washington Park area
and passed away at 94 on September 9, 2012 , she was the last of her siblings
She is survived by 3 children, 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 10 step great grandchildren and 2 step great-great grandchildren
