Helen J. Thon

Helen was born in Long Beach California on November 14, 1923.

As a child, Helen moved and lived in many places because her father was an oil driller. She lived all over Wyoming, a short time in Palm Springs CA where she became friends with Shirley Temple. The oil business brought her to Lusk WY as a Freshman in high school where she met Elmer (Rick) Thon. WWII interrupted their courtship and they were married in October 1945. Helen and Rick had 1 son ( Terry Thon ) born in 1953. They were transferred to Denver CO from Casper WY where Helen remained the rest of her life.

Helen was a homemaker until she discovered a passion for interior decorating. She started interior decorating as a business and later started buying fix up properties and reselling them starting in the 1980’s. She had a passion for fine things and became a collector of antique dishes and furniture.

Helen is survived by her son Terry Thon, daughter in law Mary White, 3 grand children Stephen Thon, Jameson Thon and Andrew Thon. Her husband Rick Thon preceded her in death March of 1992.
