Mrs. Jeannette “Judy” Ann Letterhos Friedman, age 98, of Aurora, Colorado, passed away peacefully Saturday February 22, 2025 at her residence. She was born March 11, 1926 in Denver, Colorado, daughter of Oswald and Bertha Letterhos.
Judy was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Maurice Friedman; her sisters, Elizabeth Engel and Bertha Wilson; her brother, Eugene Letterhos; her nephew and niece-in-law, Ben Letterhos and Kathy Meyer Letterhos; brother and sister-in-law, Bernie and Margie Kuper, and sisters-in-law Helen Dugan and Grace Kuper, niece Rebecca (Faulk) Letterhos, great-nephew, Travis Faulk. Judy leaves many friends and neighbors who grieve her loss.
Judy’s daughter, Maureen Lisberger (Ray); five sons, Tim (Terry), Ted, Jeff (Lisa), Ned and Jonathan; grandchildren Michael (Brooke), Justin (Corrie), Grace (Kyle), Joel, Jennifer (Oscar), Joseph, Emma, Luke and Nicholas, (Friedman), Rhonda (Ron); great-grandchildren Claire, Zeke, Emery, Zebulon, and Zion (Friedman), Hezekiah, (Kiah), Josiah (Siah), Azariah (Ari), Benaiah (Beni), and Sarah (Mendenhall), Riley, Olivia, Declan and Henry (Kinsell); nephews Tom, Dennis, and John (Wilson), niece Kathy (Wilson); nephews Davy, Andy, and Mike,(Letterhos); nieces, Marti (Zimmerman), Theresa (Dickinson) Boyhan, nephews Patrick, John and Mike Boyhan; nieces Nancy (Massman), Judy (Toy). Lisa (Chaney) and Margaret (Testa), (Kuper), nephew David Kuper survive.
Judy was a member of Saint Pius X Catholic Church for 55 years. Throughout her life she was a dedicated mother, homemaker and joyous spirit who encouraged her children, and their children, (and their children) with an open heart.
Funeral service will be at St. Pius X, 13670 E 13th Pl, Aurora, CO, March 13 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 12:00, 12801 W 44th Ave., Wheatridge, CO 80033.
A reception follows burial at the Aurora Elks Lodge #1921, 560 Geneva St., Aurora, CO 80010. If attendees cannot make burial trip, the reception area at Elks Lodge will be open after Mass.
