

Larry was born in Hot Springs, South Dakota on April 30, 1949 to Ida Mae (Pazie) Bowker and James Patrick Lensing.
Larry graduated from South High School in Pueblo, CO. He married Cathy Book on April 7th, 1968. Larry entered the Air Force out of high school and served in the Vietnam War. After leaving the military, Larry and Cathy moved to Denver, CO. Larry went to work for Raytheon. He retired after 32 years of service.
Larry’s love in life was watching his three grandsons, Colby, Kurtis and Cooper playing in numerous sporting events. He loved traveling to lacrosse tournaments with the family. Disney World was one of his favorite places. He loved camping and spent many weekends with family and friends at “The Land”.
Larry will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor. He could always put a smile on your face. Larry never met a stranger and was known for helping anyone he came in contact with.
Larry is preceded in death by his father and step-mother James Patrick Lensing and June Lensing and his step-father Gene Bowker.
He is survived by his wife Cathy, Aurora, CO, daughter Geri Lensing, Custer, SD, son Michael (Tracy) Lensing, Aurora CO, grandsons, Colby, Kurtis and Cooper Lensing, Aurora, CO, his mother, Ida Bowker, Evergreen, CO, his siblings, Peg Schroeder (Rick), Evergreen, CO, Ed Bowker (Colleen), Hot Springs, SD, Curt Bowker Elbert, CO, Susie West, Custer, SD, Jeanne Bowker, Washington, Dennis Capps (Ruby), Missoula, MT, Patti Stubby, Aurora, CO, sister-in-law Linda Connor, Broomfield, CO and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial Service will be held on Monday, February 22, 2016 at Olinger Hampden Mortuary at 9:00am. Burial will be at Ft. Logan National Cemetery at 11:15.
Following the burial, the family will celebrate Larry's life at the home of Michael and Tracy Lensing, 6297 S. Muscadine Ct. Aurora, CO 80016.
