Marjorie "Marji" Sue McCormick

Marjorie Sue "Marji" Wimberly McCormick, age 91, passed away July 31, 2016, in Fort Collins, Colorado. Marji was born in Durango, Colorado and lived most of her life in central and south Denver, mountains near Aspen Park and Heather Gardens, Aurora. She attended Wyman Elementary School, Morey Jr. High School, South High School, and the University of Denver. She was employed as a medical secretary at University of Colorado Medical Center and National Jewish Hospital; and was a member of Greenwood Community Church. In July 2014, Marji relocated to Fort Collins, Colorado, to be near her family. There, she resided at Rigden Farm Sr. Living Community and regularly attended First Presbyterian Church. Marji was predeceased by her husband George J.L. McCormick; father Merritt Wimberly; mother Lena Wimberly; and brother Hal John Wimberly. She is survived by son Rod (Brenda)- Fort Collins, CO; grandchildren Tyler and Lara- Fort Collins, CO; nephew Brian Wimberly and niece Nancy Wimberly Batt- Wichita, KS. A memorial service is planned for August 15, 2016, 10:30 a.m. at Greenwood Community Church, 5600 East Bellview Ave. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Pathways Hospice- Fort Collins, Colorado.
