Mary loved many things. She enjoyed music, and loved going to the Central City Opera. She even travelled to Italy to hear the opera. Mary really loved to travel too, she had been all over Spain, Portugal, France, Italy and Ireland. She and her travel buddy, sister Betty, travelled to Ireland because that is where the Gleason family was from. Mary was also an avid golfer all her adult life. She was a member of the Overland Park Ladies Golf Club for many years and later was in the Kennedy Ladies Par 3 League. Finally, after playing golf for all those years she got her first Hole-in-One on Harvard Gulch Golf Course and the age of 86. Mary was fun loving, had a spritely spirit, and was very well loved by her many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Mary is preceded in death by her parents, James and Charlotte; and 2 siblings. She is survived by her sister, Betty; and many nieces, nephews and other family members.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2018 from 10-11AM, followed by a funeral service at 11am at Olinger Hampden Mortuary in Denver. Mary will be laid to rest at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, later.
