Melvin Elwood Smith

Melvin "Mike" Smith of Denver, CO passed away on April 14, 2016. Mike was born in Bynumville, Missouri on January 30, 1915. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Bertha Epley, their son Melvin D and his wife Carol, his great grandson Briar Frederick. He is survived by his daugther Diana (Larry) Frederick, 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. Mike retired from Denver Water Board in October of 1982 after 32 years with them. He served proudly in the United States Navy during WWII. He was a member of the VFW Post 322, American Legion Post 0193, the Elks Lodge no. 1777 and the OPOCS. In lieu of flowers, please make out donations in Mike’s honor to the charity of your choice.
