

Merwyn Harold Walker, 80, passed away on October 13, 2015 in Littleton, Colorado. He was born at Blessings Hospital in Quincy Illinois on Feburary 20th 1935 to Harold Atchison Walker and Bertha Marie (Heinecke) Walker. Merv started his career as a drafting engineer in Burlington, Iowa. He moved to Colorado and worked at Stearns Rogers for many years before retiring to Ault, Colorado with his wife, Marilyn Jo Walker. They also lived in Las Cruces, New Mexico for many years and recently returned to Colorado.
Merv enjoyed designing, drawing and building in his spare time. He built or remodeled/added on to every home he lived in and most of the homes that his children lived in.
He is survived by his brother, W. Dean Walker (Uncle Wally) of Chicago, Illinois; nieces Kim Dusenberry and Anna Walker. Son, Tim Walker (Rhonda); grandchildren, TJ and Amanda. Daughter, Penny Walker (Bud Kern). Son, Tom Walker (Sarah); grandchildren, Amber Schmalzried (Tyler) and Andrew; great-grandson, Rhys Schmalzried. Daughter, Pam Rademacher (Kyle). Step-son, Gregory “Scott” Foreman (Cindy) and step-grandson, Josh.
He is preceded in death by his wife Marilyn Jo Walker and his parents.
A visitation will be held on Friday October 16, 2015 at 4pm to 7pm at Olinger Hampden Mortuary 8600 East Hampden Avenue, Denver, CO 80231. Services will be Saturday October 17, 2015 at 2pm at Olinger Hampden Mortuary . Internment at Olinger Hampden Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make a memorial donation to the charity of your choice.
