Steven Lloyd Patrick was born June 29, 1939 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Robert Kinmont Patrick and Grace Ferrier Patrick.
Steven graduated Scottsbluff High School Class of 1957. He earned his BSBA at the University of Nebraska, and also his School of Banking degree at University of Wisconsin. In addition, he earned his Graduate of the University of Colorado Licensed Real Estate Appraisal Programs in 1992.
Steven married the love of his life, Norma Lee Wagner of Mitchell, Nebraska on June 10,1960. They had two sons, Blayne Robert and Dane Arthur. They enjoyed 60 years of marriage. Norma passed away May 8, 2020.
Mr. Patrick was a commercial banking officer. He began his career in 1959 while attending college. He became President of the First National Bank of Estes Park, Colorado and also President of First Western National Bank in La Jara, Colorado. He finished his banking career 41 years later with Vectra Bank in Montrose, Colorado.
Mr. Patrick served his country with enlistments in both the Wyoming and Nebraska Air National Guards. He received an Honorable Discharge as an E6 Technical Sargeant in 1969.
He also enjoyed service to his community through activities such as Community Options, Inc. Montrose, CO Board of Directors, Montrose County Planning Commission, Board of Directors of Montrose Chamber of Commerce, Past President Rotary Club of Estes Park and Chairman of the Estes Park Rotary Foundation, Board of Directors Estes Valley Park and Recreation District, City of Gering, NE Planning Board and Board of Appeals, Vestryman and Treasurer St.Timothy's Episcopal Church, Vestryman St. Paul's Episcopal Church of Montrose, Treasurer St. Matthews Episcopal Church, and also Chairman of Finance Committee and Trustee of St. Matthew's Episcopal Church Foundation, and a Member of Board of Directors Mesa Developmental Services, Inc. He also was a Volunteer Ambassador at the Grand Junction Visitors' Center.
He especially enjoyed golf, camping and fishing, Nebraska Cornhusker Football, reading good novels and history and travel.
He was preceded in death by one son, Dane Arthur, and one grandson, Kyle Steven, and by his wife Norma. He is survived by his son, Blayne Robert of Castle Rock, Colorado.
