Andrew was the patriarch of his large family and acted as a surrogate father to his younger brothers and sisters. He was known as the great lecturer of the family, whatever the subject, he had a lecture at the ready.
He worked very hard throughout his life to make sure his family was well taken care of and in his later years, enjoyed the simple joys of life, interacting with his grandkids, watching his favorite westerns and watching football. He will be missed by all those who knew and respected him. He always displayed the wisdom, only years of life can impart and above all, he loved us. When he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, he looked at it as another challenge to conquer, his will for life and living was there until the end, he never wanted to give up.
He joins his parents and many of his siblings up in Heaven and we are sure they have their arms open wide to welcome him and for that we thank them: Baijan Aziz (deceased) and Shooshan Mona (deceased), Margaret Lazar (deceased), Timmy Yacoub (deceased), Edmond Jacob (deceased), Najat Rehana (deceased) Digol Jacob (deceased), and Janet Taroyan (deceased).
Andrew leaves behind a family that will have difficulty moving forward, except for the knowledge he has gone to a better place: his wife of 63 years, Faiza, his children Diana, Daniel (Rho), and Dalia. His grandchildren, Andrew, Michael, Daniella, Grace and Gabrielle and his siblings, Yonatan, Mary, Johnny and Anjel.
May you rest in peace Baba, we love you.
