Charles E. Schwenn

He enjoyed classical music, all types of sports - umpiring baseball, basketball and football. Attending and serving at Ascension Lutheran Church, and spending winters in Florida with his wife, Hedy.

Charles will be lovingly remembered by his loving wife, Hedy; his children, Kimberly Bartlett (David), Craig and Kelee. Sister Grace Weith (William) deceased, Sister Corrine Antemann (Nick) deceased, (Richard Rommel) deceased, and Sister Carol Bender, Sister Pamela Battaglia. Grandchildren Elizabeth Stamps (Mark), and Daniel Bartlett and Great Grandchildren, Ezekiel, Jeremiah, Gloria, Gideon, Faith and Judah Stamps.

He is preceded in death by his Father Henry and mother Anna Warfel, sister Ann Heather, Brother Henry (Fern), Brother Clarence (Beatrice), Brother Lester, (Elizabeth), Sister Vera Kanzler, and Brother Samuel and Sister Jeanette Martin (William) deceased.

A visitation for Charles will be held on Sunday, June 1st from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Oehler Funeral Home (2099 Miner Street, Des Plaines, IL). A lie in state will be held on June 2nd from 10:00am until the time of the service at 11:00am at Ascension Lutheran Church (7429 North Milwaukee Avenue, Niles, IL). A committal service will occur immediately after at Ridgewood Memorial Park (9900 North Milwaukee Avenue, Des Plaines, IL).
