Don Booth was more than the best caddy master he was a legend, a role model and to all the Caddy’s that worked for him he treated us as his boys and to a lot of us a Father figure. Some of the best memories of my life where at Lake Shore Country Club as a young fly trap at 12 years old Don mentored me into a pro-jock. When we did something wrong (yes, we all did plenty) or he was upset at one of us he would tilt his head, lower his glasses and give you the infamous Boo Boo look. He would stick you with a bad loop, he would yell out some random nickname he had for each of us (if Don blessed you with a name you knew deep down you were one of his guys) “grab Mrs. Reynolds bag and get up on the back nine” she was a sweet woman who paid a dollar a hole and always made you put the putter cover back on after each hole? His infamous long cigar that he would start chewing on at 7AM and by the end of the day it was nibbled down to small nub. If it was a slow day and we wanted to leave we’d play Boo Boo Bingo if your number was called  you can go. He’d sell his wives ham and cheese sandwiches with mayo for $2.50 and frozen snickers for a buck. Don Booths memories will never be forgotten by all the guys that worked for him and love never ends. Boo Boo is definitely in heaven enjoying his cigar and smiling down on all of us.

We are so saddened to hear of the loss of Don! He was a lifelong friend and golf partner and we will cherish the wonderful memories we had!
