Eleanor C. Braun

Eleanor C. Braun nee Freres of Des Plaines; born June 14, 1926 in Morton Grove, Eleanor and her beloved late husband, Bernard, were one of the original families at St. Stephen Church and they were founding members of the St. Stephen Culinary Club, the Culinaires; she was a homemaker and has had various part-time jobs during her working career; she passed away in Park Ridge on Saturday, February 13, 2016 surrounded by her loving family; dear mother of Bernard Braun, Richard (Linda) Braun, James (Carol) Braun, Rosemary (Carl) Schnulle, Gary (Valerie) Braun and Bobby (Julie) Braun; proud grandmother “Munga” of 17 and cherished great-grandmother of 19; fond sister of Rose Mary (late Dennis) Gabel, late Peter (Carol) Freres and the late Ralph (late Kathy) Freres; treasured aunt of many nieces and nephews. Visitation Wednesday 3:00 to 9:00 pm at the Oehler Funeral Home, 2099 Miner St. (Northwest Hwy. / Rt. 14 at Rand Rd.), Des Plaines; where friends and family will gather on Thursday at 9:15 am for prayers prior to going to St. Stephen Church, 1280 Prospect Ave. for a 10:00 am funeral mass.
