Ellen M. Snopek of Des Plaines. Ellen M. Snopek (nee Zeien) was the beloved wife of the late Thaddeus; dear mother of Tom (Peggie Telscher) and the late Janet Snopek; cherished grandmother of Jeremy and Julia Snopek; fond sister of the late Harry and Clifford Zeien; sister-in-law and lifelong companion of the late Eleanor Mack; and loving aunt of Marlene Ginter, Barbara Justmann, Daniel Mack and the late Christine Kowalski. Ellen was a talented seamstress and a dedicated volunteer. Visitation will be on Sunday, from 2 to 7 p.m. at the Oehler Funeral Home, 2099 Miner St. (Northwest Highway/Route 14 at Rand Road), Des Plaines. Her funeral will be on Monday, beginning at 9:15 a.m. at the funeral home, proceeding to Our Lady of Hope Church, 9711 W. Devon, Rosemont, for Mass at 10 a.m. Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation, Ellen M. Snopek Memorial Education Fund.
