

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Frank Peter Raczka on March 4, 2025. Frank was born in Chicago in 1938 to Frank and Margaret. Frank served in the United States Army for 5 years, 3 of which were active duty in Okinawa, Japan. He was also a proud member of the United States Air National Guard for 17 years. Frank was a decorated Veteran and was discharged with honors from the Air National Guard. As a dedicated civil servant for the majority of his life, Frank served the Jefferson Park Community of Chicago as a US Letter Carrier for 30 years.
Frank could be found riding his bike around Des Plaines, something he continued into his senior years. He also enjoyed working out with his friends at the YMCA, tending to his vegetable garden and relaxing with a book on world history.
Frank was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother. He is survived by his wife Janet, daughters Cindy (Jim), Patti, Carolyn (Paul), Kristina (Jay); son Eric; brother Ed; 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Frank is preceded in death by brothers Ben and Bob.
Frank will forever be remembered for his devotion to God, family and friends. He will be missed dearly and will forever be in our hearts.

A celebration of life for Frank will be held on Sunday, March 16 from 4:00pm-8:00pm at Oehler Funeral Home (2099 Miner Street, Des Plaines, IL). A memorial Mass will take place Monday, March 17 at 11:00am at St. Zachary Parish (567 W. Algonquin Rd., Des Plaines, IL).
