Fred W. Eberhardt Visitation for Fred W. Eberhardt, 81, of Chicago, will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, March 20, at Oehler Funeral Home, 2099 Miner St. (Northwest Highway/Route 14 at Rand Road), Des Plaines. Prayers will be said at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, March 21, at the funeral home, proceeding to St. Emily Church, 1400 E. Central, Mount Prospect, for Mass at 10 a.m. Interment will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine. Born Oct. 21, 1930, in Chicago, he passed away Thursday, March 15, 2012, in Des Plaines. Fred was a Chicago fireman for 39 years. He was the husband for 61 years of Margaret E. (nee Fitzgerald); father of John (Lucy) Eberhardt, Tom (Jerri) Eberhardt, Linda Eberhardt, Diane (Pete) Brown and the late Fred (Cheryl Saunders) Eberhardt; cherished grandfather of 13; great grandfather of 16; brother of Helen (John) Haddon, the late Catherine (the late Earl) Field and the late Sister Mary Eberhardt; and uncle of many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, appreciated.
