Kimberly M. Siprut

Kimberly was preceded in death by her parents, Morton Lang and Constance Lang (nee Sherwood). Beloved wife of Joseph Siprut for 50 years. Loving mother of Joseph (Kathy) Siprut and Kristina (Nick) Pearson. Cherished Nana to Lana, Avery, Joe, Aubrey, and Nicholas, who were the joys of her life.

Kim earned her Master’s degree in Reading and dedicated her life to education. She worked as a preschool and primary grade teacher, an ACT tutor, and a school trip tour guide to Washington, D.C., helping shape and encourage generations of students. In 1998, Kim was one of 12 teachers in the nation honored with a Distinguished Teacher Award from the National Catholic Educational Association.

Family was always at the center of Kim’s life. She was endlessly proud of her children and grandchildren and never missed an opportunity to celebrate, support, or simply be present for the people she loved.

She loved reading, gardening, traveling, and baseball — especially the Chicago Cubs. She also loved The Wizard of Oz, I Love Lucy, elephants, and all things yellow. Kim was a proud supporter of Moms Demand Action and PAWS Chicago. She will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, generosity, and the way she made people feel loved and cared for.

A devoted wife, mother, Nana, teacher, aunt, cousin, and friend, Kim leaves behind a legacy of love and unwavering support for the people fortunate enough to know her.

She will be deeply missed by her husband Joseph, her children Joseph (Kathy) and Kristina (Nick), her beloved grandchildren Lana, Avery, Joe, Aubrey, and Nicholas, her brother Robert (Marian) Lang, and many extended family members and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth.
