

Lois Elizabeth Graham Lois Elizabeth Graham (nee Milton) entered into eternal life peacefully, surrounded by her husband and children, Friday, June 3, 2011, of complications from advanced Alzheimer's disease. Born in St. Louis, Oct. 15, 1936, she grew up in the community of Baden and attended Our Lady of Mount Carmel Elementary School. She met her husband, Robert Graham, while attending high school at Nerinx Hall and they have been married for 54 years. She worked as a surgical assistant and managed an oral surgery practice before her retirement. She was a former member of the Des Plaines Homemakers, a volunteer with Meals on Wheels, Helping Hands and PADS. She was the beloved mother of Michael (Donna), Thomas (Kathy) and Christopher (Karen) Graham; grandmother of seven fine grandchildren, Katharine, Austin, Laura, Amy, Sarah, Sean and Jack; fond sister of Bernadette (Charles) Tille; sister-in-law of Frances (Brian) Smith; and cherished aunt and cousin. "Our mother was completely selfless and worked tirelessly on behalf of her family throughout her life." Visitation will be on Tuesday, from 3 to 9 p.m. at the Oehler Funeral Home, 2099 Miner St. (Northwest Highway/Route 14 at Rand Road), Des Plaines. Her funeral will be on Wednesday, beginning at 9:15 a.m. at the funeral home, proceeding to St. Mary Church, for Mass at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Northbrook, IL.
