Mabel S. Smarsh, nee Bogdanowicz, 82, of Park Ridge, beloved wife of the late Daniel; dear mother of Donna Smarsh, Sherre (Ed) Mendrala and Tammy Smarsh; loving grandmother of Eddie Mendrala; fond sister of Lorraine (the late Naim) Elias, the late Edwin (Elizabeth), the late Eugene (the late Gloria), the late Leonard (Clara), and the late Jerome (Margaret) Bogdanowicz; sister-in-law of Rose (Andy) Bassuk, Barbara (the late Don) Powell, the late Frank (Hazel) Smarz, the late Stephan (the late Lil) Smarsh, and the late Ann (the late Harry) Cuca; cherished aunt of many nieces and nephews; special friend of Connie Gallios and her family; and friend to many. Mabel is preceded in death by her parents Edwin and Mary Bogdanowicz and her aunt Sophie Ciolek. Funeral Tuesday 9:15 a.m. from chapel to St. Paul of the Cross Church, Park Ridge. Interment Maryhill Cemetery. Mabel was a licensed beautician and former owner of MayDans Beauty Salon.
