Born on July 18, 1929, in Chicago, Illinois, Mary was the beloved daughter of the late James and Angeline Reckas. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, the late John T. “Jack” Culleeney.
Mary is survived by her loving children, John Culleeney and Karen Pinns (Greg). She was a proud and cherished grandmother (Yia Yia) to Joseph Culleeney and John “Jack” Pinns, and a devoted great-grandmother (Yia Yia) to Evelyn, Dean, and Tristan Culleeney. She was also a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Mary will be remembered for her warmth, strength, and deep love for her family. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
A memorial visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Sunday, March 1st, 2026 at Oehler Funeral Home, located at 2099 Miner Street, Des Plaines, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mary’s honor can be made to Meals on Wheels.
