Maureen A. O'Mara

Maureen A. O’Mara, LPN, 75 of Des Plaines, formerly of Chicago was born March 24, 1942 in Chicago to Francis and Ellen (nee Folan) O’Mara and passed away August 12, 2017. Maureen was the loving mother of Suzanne (Christopher) Weiss, Daniel (Kimberly) Barnitz, Michael Barnitz, James (Megan) Barnitz and Andrew (Annette) Barnitz; cherished grandmother of Matthew, Megan, Danica, Riley, Devin, Berghan, Samuel, Renny, Lyla, Nathan and Ryan and dear sister of Mary Ellen (late Morgan) Fitzgerald, Rev. Dennis O’Mara, Patricia Mongoven, Thomas (Eileen) O’Mara, Stephen (Judy) O’Mara and the late Robert O’Mara. Memorial visitation will be Friday, August 18, 2017 from 3-8 PM at Oehler Funeral Home, 2099 Miner Street (Northwest Highway/Rt. 14 at Rand Road) Des Plaines. Family and friends will gather on Saturday, August 19 at 9:45 AM at St. Tarcissus Church, 6020 W. Ardmore Avenue, Chicago, IL 60646 for a Memorial Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 appreciated.
