Patricia Joan Godlewski

She was a wonderful mother of 7 children. Patricia was well loved by many including her friends and fellow parishioners. Patricia was born on March 13, 1938 in Chicago, IL to Theodore and Sophie (Wacyk) Kopis. Patricia and Daniel Godlewski were joined in marriage at Our Lady of the Angels Church in Chicago, IL on April 22, 1961.

Patricia is survived by her loving husband Daniel of 62 years; children Michael (Sharon), Michelle (Doug) Thompson, Denise Shin, Sharon (Dr. Jay Albovias) Erny, Christine (Dr. Raymond) Bianchi, Diane (Chadwick) Hood, and Tricia (Matthew) Spitz; grandchildren Nicholas, Matthew, Ryan, Jamie, Kristen, Justin, Victoria, Valerie, Veronica, Ethan, Benjamin, and Cole; great-grandchildren Carolanne, McKenzie, James, Renner, Ronin, Reese, Jackson, and Camden. Patricia will be greatly missed by her siblings Joan Karzov, Debbie Rollinson and Theodore Kopis. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, son-in-law David Shin, grandson Robert Procter and granddaughter Alyssa Erny.

Friends and family will gather for a visitation for Patricia that will be held on Thursday, February 8th, 2024 from 10am - 11am with funeral mass immediately following at 11am at St. Zachary Parish, 567 West Algonquin Road, Des Plaines, Illinois 60018.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Patricia’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at stjude.org.
