Jon G. Ehrmann, 68 years of Dexter, MI passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2010 in the University of Michigan Hospital, Ann Arbor, MI.
The son of Oscar and Wilhemina (Maebries) Ehrmann, he was born in Grand Haven, Mi in October 1941. Jon graduated from Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan. In 1963 he received his BA, Honors College, Accounting (graduated number one in Business School class of 600). In 1964 he received his MBA, Finance.
On July 7, 1984 he married his loving and devoted wife Luella Hicks (Cox) at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Ann Arbor, MI. Jon loved boating in the summer and entertaining his family and friends at home. In the winter months, he enjoyed being in Florida. Jon was an avid Michigan State football fan and enjoyed many sports on TV, including University of Michigan football and NASCAR. Jon retired from Applied Intelligent Systems, Inc. in Ann Arbor in May 1998. He was on the Board of Directors and V.P. of Finance and chief financial officer. Jon also served as President of the Board of Directors of Catholic Social Services of Washtenaw County for 8 years before his retirement.
Jon is survived by his wife Luella, brother Fred (Linda) Ehrmann, daughter Mrs. Sheila (Jeffrey) Large, step-son Gregory Hicks, , 4 nieces, 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Donald Ehrmann.
A Memorial Mass will be prayed on Saturday July 24, 2010 at St. Joseph Catholic Village Church (corner of Dover and 4th) at 10:00am with visitation from 9:00am until time of service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a church of your choice. Arrangements handled by Hosmer Muehlig Funeral Chapel, Dexter.
