Minnie Pearl Dermody

Dermody, Minnie P. of Dexter, MI. Passed away February 2, 2011. Born, June 19, 1927 in Glensfork , KY. She was th daughter of Fred and Nancy J. Acree. She graduated from Columbia High School in 1944. She was married to Tom Dermody on February 2, 1946. Tom passed away September 10, 1989. Minnie was a member of the Dexter United Methodist Church for over 50 years, a Harmony Rebekah Lodge 460, Dexter American Legion Auxiliary, UAW 1284 and the Dexter Senior Citizens. She worked for Chrysler for 35 years and volunteered at the VA Hospital. She is survived by sisters, Clara Hayes of Ann Arbor and Reno Hoskinson of Louisville, KY. Also survived by son Doug Dermody, daughters Nancy Noll and Mrs. Donna (Michael) Howard, six grandchildren, Natalie Breeman, Ryan Noll, Eric and Josh Howard, Matt and Jason Dermody, seven great-grandchildren and six nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 6th from 3:00 until 7:00PM at the Hosmer-Muehlig Funeral Chapel, Dexter, MI. The funeral service will be held on Monday the 7th at 11:00 at the Dexter United Methodist Church with visiting from 10:00 until time of service. Burial at Forest Lawn Cemetery , Dexter. In lieu of flowers, memorials suggested to the church or Dexter American Legion Auxiliary. Envelopes available at the funeral chapel.
