Birkle, Veronica (Zabinsky) has gone to be happily reunited with the love of her life, “Bud” who passed in 2002, after 48 years of marriage. Veronica passed away on Jan. 16th, 2017 surrounded by her family who were her whole world. Born March 6th, 1932 in Ann Arbor, she lived on her parent’s farm in Dexter until after high school, when she moved and spent the rest of her life in Ann Arbor. In the 1960’s she worked as a dispatcher for the Ann Arbor Police Dept. Her passion though was her resale business of antiques, furniture and “stuff”; considered a “Garage Sale Queen” of Ann Arbor, holding numerous sales over the years on Miller Ave.; many college apartments were furnished by these sales. Veronica had a great love for animals, helping any stray who found her, so in lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to the Huron Valley Humane Society. Visitation will take place at the Hosmer-Muehlig Funeral Chapel in Dexter on Friday, Jan 20th from 4pm-8pm. Per her family’s wishes there will be a private funeral service and burial. Arrangements under the direction of Hosmer-Muehlig Funeral Chapel, Dexter, MI.
