Agnes Betty Elizabeth Saulnier Chalmers

Agnes Elizabeth “Betty” Chalmers – 71 of Cornwallis Park Annapolis County passed away on August 1, 2013 at the VG in Halifax. She was born in Lake Doucette, Digby County to the late Carl and Della (Deveau) Saulnier on September 27, 1941. Betty was a member of the ladies Auxiliary of Royal Canadian Legion branch 122, Clementsport and a member of St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, Digby. She is survived by her husband Robert, Cornwallis Park, and daughter Bonnie (Alvin) Titus, Digby. Betty is also survived by sisters Judy, Anne Marie, Christine, Mary, Karen, and brothers, Peter, Stephen, Paul, grandchildren, Matthew Shaffner (Julie), Kristy Shaffner (Kyle) , Jake Chalmers (Karen) , and Carl Chalmers, great grandchildren, Ayanna, Kayla and Carina Chalmers. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by son, David Chalmers. Visitation will be from noon until 2pm on Monday, August 5 from Jayne’s Funeral Home, 7 Birch St, Digby (245-2525) and from where Funeral Service will be at 2pm. Father Henry Smolenaars officiating with Interment in Madonna Cemetery, Marshalltown at a later date. Donations in memory can be made to the Nova Scotia Lung Association.
