Aldean Alliston Simms

Aldean “Boopie” Alliston Simms – Age 49 of Jordantown, Digby Co., passed away in Winnipeg on January 15th, 2016. Aldean was a son of Guida (Cromwell) Simms and the late Vernon Simms. Aldean grew up in Jordantown and was known for being very curious and handy, which carried on into his adulthood. He loved his old school music and was always able to make people laugh in any situation. When he smiled his eyes would close. He was always asked how could he see and smile at the same time. He was loved and will be missed by all. Besides his mother, Aldean is survived by daughters, Sasha Melanson, Digby; Jasmine Cromwell, London, Ont.; Jenna Cromwell, Dartmouth; Allison Simms, London, Ont.; sons Aldean Cromwell, Halifax; Marc Cromwell, Halifax; Cain Simms, Australia; sisters, Maylene Ramore, Oromoncto, NB; Martina Simms, Halifax; brothers, Vernon Simms, Pinehurst; Ernest Simms, Digby; Perry Simms, Greenwood; Karlis Simms, St. John; several nieces and nephews. A memorial Service will be at 2pm, Friday, January 22nd, 2016 from Jayne’s Funeral Home, Digby (902-245-2525). Pastor Theresa Character will preside. Interment in Maplewood cemetery, Acaciaville.
