Brooks, Brenda Louise, 57 of smiths Cove, passed away June 20, 2014 in Digby General Hospital. Born in Halifax, she was the younger daughter of the late Irvine and Helen (McInnis) Brooks. Living in Smith’s Cove with her parents, she worked for Nova Scotia Tourism, Pinkerton Security and many years at Digby Dairy Queen. Brenda is survived by her sister, Sharon (Cleveland) Theriault, Acaciaville; her beloved nephew, Nathan and great niece, Kenzie Theriault of Halifax. Although her family was small, Brenda was deeply loved and will be missed by her wide circle of friends for her sense of humour and genuine caring and interest in everyone she met. Cremation has taken place and as per her wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Interment will take place with her parents in Smith’s Cove at a later date.
