Carolyn came from Victoria Beach and worked for Maritime Tell & Tell as an operator until the site closed and then as a tourism informant for the provincial site on Shore Rd until her retirement. She was very fond of doing crossword puzzles from the paper that her son would bring to her. She also enjoyed talking on the phone with Joan Harris and Jaunita Sproule about who was doing what down in Victoria Beach and loved her cats when she had them.
Carolyn is survived by her only child Michael; brother Jack McGrath; 2 grandchildren: Melissa Hunt and Samantha Hunt; 3 great-grandchildren: Olivia Lutz, Alexa Lutz and James Flanagan. She is predeceased by her husband Ronnie; parents Howard and Ruby McGrath; sister, Elva Smith and brother, Gordon McGrath.
Donations in Carolyn’s memory can be made to SPCA. Cremation has taken place under the care of Jayne’s Funeral Home, Digby. Funeral service will be 1pm on Oct 9 from Port Wade United Baptist Church with Rev. Deann Carter officiating. Interment to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Digby.
