Sibley, Catherine Charlotte - 101, Marshalltown, Digby Co. passed away March 22, 2011 in Tideview Terrace, Digby. Born March 5, 1910 in Yarmouth, Catherine was a daughter of the late Adolphus & Jessie (Surrette) Golden. Catherine is a member of St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Church, Marshalltown. Catherine was a devoted mother, grandmother. Catherine was survived by her daughters, Sharon (Mrs. Keith Raymond), Digby; Sheila (Mrs. Cyril Wade), Seabrook; Barbara Arsenault, Toronto, Ont.; Margery (Mrs. Raymond Wright), St. Thomas, Ont.; sons Robert (Linda), St. Thomas, Ont.; Eric, Marshalltown, Digby Co.; Carl (Leena), St. Thomas, Ont.; Kenneth (Pat), Perkinsfield, Ont.; sister Hilda MacKenzie, Halifax; 35 grandchildren, Cathy, John, Steven, Linda, Gary, Bill, Douglas, Michael, Richard, Bradly, Brian, Alan, Diane, Cathy, Eugene, Christopher, Shelly, Stephanie, Karen, Wanda, Carol, Rebecca, Kathy-Lee, Kimberley, Paul, Jason, Corinne, Johnathan, Michelle, Michael, Tanya, Heather, Christa, Shawnda and Andrea, 65 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, Catherine was predeceased by her husband John William Sibley; daughter Bernice Drane; sons, Alvin, Ronald and Loran; 3 children in infancy, grandsons David, Troy, Kevin and Douglas; sister Jean Richards; brothers, Arthur, Kenneth and George. Visitation 2-4 and 7-9pm Thursday, with prayers at 8pm all in Jayne’s Funeral Home (245-2525) 7 Birch Street, Digby. Funeral Mass 11am Friday in St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, Digby, Father Keith Billard presiding. Interment in St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, Digby.
