

Trimper, Donald Cecil – With heavy hearts the family announces the passing of Donald Cecil Trimper. Born June 15, 1926 in Greenland to Harold and Ethel (Buckler) Trimper. He lived in Greenland all his life and worked most of his life as a self-employed butcher and meat cutter, peddling meat from door to door. He was a devoted Christian and his love for the Lord was an example to all who knew him. He was a long standing member of the Digby Wesleyan Church where he served as a board member, treasurer, and wherever he was needed. His family was important to him. His grandchildren and great-grandchild brought him great joy. He is survived by the love of his life, his sweetheart, Beatrice (Pierce) Trimper of 57 years, also surviving are his children, Tanya (Steve), Beverly (Zydric), Donna (Keith) ,and Wesley (Leanne); sister, Mary; brothers, Willis (Alice) and Dennis , 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, nieces and nephews.He was predeceased by sisters, Olive and Helen, brothers, Lawrence, Clyde, Lewis, Wilbur and Shirley. Visitation will be from 7-9pm today from Jayne’s Funeral Home, 7 Birch St. Digby (245-2525). A Celebration of Don’s life will be 3pm Sunday, November 2nd from the Digby Wesleyan Church. Pastor Andrew Maves will officiate with burial in the Clementsvale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory can be made to palliative care, VON Annapolis County, Digby Wesleyan Church or to a charity of your choice.
