Dorothy Esther Wilson, nee Barnes, aged 96, of Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia, passed away peacefully January 4, 2017 at the Annapolis Royal Hospital. She was born in Montreal, Quebec, July 31, 1920, to father Joseph Charles Barnes and mother Caroline Jane Barnes. Dorothy married Robert Bonar Wilson October 6, 1945 and raised her family in Otterburn Park, Quebec. She was a loving mother to daughters Valerie Wilson and Bonnie Landers, nee Wilson. Her favorite events included family vacations and walks on the beach. She was an avid bridge player and beat all comers at scrabble. Her accomplishments included the classical piano, oil painting and rug hooking. Dorothy was predeceased by daughter Bonnie, husband Robert, brothers Joseph and Richard Barnes and Sister Rose James nee Barnes.
