

A loving mother, wife & homemaker, Joan was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends. She loved camping and baking but her true passion was gardening and crocheting. Joan was well known for her rose bushes and rhododendrons. Spending time with family & friends were the moments she cherished the most.
Joan is survived by her husband of 61 years, Lawrence O’Neil. She is also survived by her son, Michael (Kim) O’Neil; daughters, Janice (Randy) Hutchins, Tammy (Johnny) Chute and Tanya (Pat) O’Neil and her sister Elaine (Gary) Hersey and special little “Candy man”. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Jennifer (Steven),Ashley (Elliot), Christopher (Mallory), Anjelica (Alex), Jessica, and Nicholas. She had eight great grandchildren; Madison, Zoey, Malik, Makai, Allison, Cooper, Levi and Myles.
A service celebrating Joan’s life will be 1pm on Monday, May 7th, 2018 at Digby Wesleyan Church with Rev. Mark Cress presiding. Family flowers only.Donations can be made to any Parkinsons Disease Foundation. Leave condolences at www.jaynesfuneralhome.com
