Mrs. Hermeline Hermie Marie Surette McGowan

Hermeline M. McGowan – 80 of Weymouth passed away October 12, 2010 at Digby General Hospital. Born in Yarmouth, Hermeline was one of 12 siblings to the late John and Ann(LeBlanc) Surette. Hermeline was a member of the Weymouth Catholic Church and the Ladies Auxiliary, Hermeline found enjoyment in her family, trips in the car, watching the birds, Dean Martin, spending time outside, she especially enjoyed picking blueberrys. Hermeline was a kind and loving mother, grandmother and friend who will be missed by daughters; Mary Jane McGowan, Edmonton; Rosalie(Kevin Melanson)McGowan, Weymouth; son, Harold McGowan, Weymouth; Granddaughter, Lacey Robicheau, St. John’s NFL; sisters, Jeanette Gregory, Mass; Phyllis Gaudet, Mass; Odile Surette; brother, Wilfred(Susan) Surette, Mass; many nieces and nephews. Hermeline was predeceased by husband Clarence; infant son; Daniel; brothers, Peter; Roger; Hector; Neil and sisters, Lorranie Caufield; Rosalie Comeau; and Josephine Babin. Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9pm Friday in Jayne’s Funeral Home, Weymouth North (245-2525). Funeral service will be 11am Saturday at the St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Weymouth.
