Mom slipped from this world on December 23rd, 2013 in Digby General Hospital. She passed peacefully, quietly and finally without pain, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Newburne, Lunenburg Co., she was the 11th of 12 children of Hobart and Amanda (Wentzell) Milbury. After the family moved to Digby in 1950, she was an Avon representative for 17 years and then worked at Digby General Hospital, first in the front office and then as a dietary aide. She was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Newburne and adherent of Digby United Baptist Church. Upon retirement she devoted her time to gardening (particularly roses), sewing, tatting and baking. She dearly loved her children and grandchildren and was a devoted friend to many. In her later years, even in pain and with physical limitations, she still kept busy and never gave up. Left to mourn are daughter, Carol, grandson, Marc (Kimberly), granddaughters, Lisa Wilson and Sandra Jacobson, daughter in-law, Trudy Young. Also left to mourn are great-grandchildren, Emma-Leigh and Adrian Jack Dondale and Amanda, John and Hailey Jacobson and Shawn Geauvreau. Also surviving are sister-in-law, Elsie Young, and several nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by dear husband, John David and beloved son, John “Leighn”. She was also predeceased by siblings, Blanche, Everett, Ruth, Leoda, Vera, Erna, Hazel, Bertram, Laura, Lizzie and Eldridge. A service to celebrate Inez’s life will be held at 2pm on Thursday, January 2nd, 2013 at the Digby United Baptist Church.
