Irene Victoria Stevens Harris

Harris, Irene Victoria, 92, Tideview Terrace and formerly of Bear River, passed away April 22, 2011 in Tideview Tideview. Born in Bear River, she was a daughter of the late Lyle and Mary ( Dukeshire) Stevens. Irene was a life member of the Ladies Auxillary of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 22 Bear River and a member of the Bear River Baptist Church. Surviving are daughters Patricia Jean (Fred) Lombard, Stettler, Alberta:, Paula (Charles) Newcombe, Ship Harbour, Halifax Co.; Kathleen (George) Prior, Victoria ,BC Diana (Darrell) Kinakin, Calgary, Alberta; Dorothy (Gary) Wright, Clementsport, Annapolis Co; Darlene Kennedy, Moncton, NB; sons Robert (Yutta) Harris, Ottawa, Ont.; Reid (Coleen) Harris, Dartmouth; Lyle (Debbie) Harris, Clementsvale ; brother Clyde Stevens, Sussex, NB; 25 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and several great-great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Allister Harris, brothers Elwood and Weldon, grandchildren Kelly Rose Anne, Hilda May Kennedy. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm from Jayne’s Funeral Home 7 Birch St. Digby. Funeral service will be 11 am Wednesday from the Bear River Baptist Church. Pastor Mark Elley will officiate with burial in Mount Hope Cemetery, Bear River. Donations in memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
