

Janet was a hardworking woman who spent her years employed with Connors Brothers, Small Brothers, Henry Prime’s and D.B. Kenney fish plants. She also took great pride in her work cleaning homes. Janet enjoyed singing, going for walks, and picking (and eating) strawberries—simple pleasures that brought her great joy.
She was a devoted member of Rebecca’s Lodge in Freeport and the Freeport Baptist Church.
Janet was predeceased by her beloved husband, Ivan Moore; her brothers, Clifton, Howard, and Daniel; her sisters, Stella and Marion; her sons, Gerald and Clifton; and her grandson, Brian Moore.
She is survived by her sons, Glendon (Heather) Moore and Alan (Joyce) Moore; daughter-in-law, Mary Moore; her sister, Rowena Nickerson; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren as well as step grandchildren, step great-grandchildren and step great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place under the care of Jayne’s Funeral Home, Digby. A graveside service will be held on April 26th at 1:00 p.m. at Brookside Cemetery, with Craig Glavin officiating. Following the graveside service there will be a reception at the firehall.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to Sue and Ron at Leila’s Lodge for the care they provided, as well as the staff at Tideview Terrace, especially Crystal and Brittany who were with Janet when she passed.
