Jeanne Theora Mullen age 94 of Hassett passed away at her home on July 1, 2016. Born in South Range, NS she was the daughter of the late Ella Mae Porter and Arthur Roy Baxter and wife of the late Clayton Emery Mullen, who was the love of her life.
Not only was she a great wife and mother, she also spent many years helping her husband Clayton by pumping gas. She was well known on the 340 for her kind words to everyone who stopped by the station. She always chose to the see the best in everyone she knew and was a friend to every animal she ever met. Jeanne loved reading, knitting, sewing, quilting, ceramics and was a beautiful artist.
She is survived by her daughters, Joan Rawding (George) of Bridgewater and Jane Mullen; her sons, Roger (Louise), Michael (Judy) and Paul (Sandra); her sister, Marilyn Brown of Lethbridge, AB and her brother, Barry Baxter of Middleton; grandchildren, Greg (Ainsley), Geoff (Lise), Tim (Trisha), Jeremy (Melissa), Jud (Rayleen), Will (Denise), Sarah (James), Mike Rawding, Bill Rawding, Bailey (Jon) and Josh ; great grandchildren, Delaney, Juliette, Owen, Simon, Elliott, Cassie, Clayton and little Eva as well as many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her siblings, Ronald, Audrey, Lester and Fred and her much loved son-in-law, David Rawding.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Baie Ste Marie Animal Society.
