Judy Carole Seeley

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Judith “Judy” Carole Seeley, who passed away surrounded by her family on August 18, 2025, at the age of 64, at Digby General Hospital. Born in Digby, she was the daughter of the late Joe and Carol Weir.

Judy worked as a Continuing Care Assistant (CCA) for over 20 years, dedicating her life to helping others. She also owned a fish and chip bus with her sister Joanne. Judy was well-known for her big heart, her kindness, and her amazing cooking. There was nothing she loved more than her family. Her grandchildren were her everything, and she lovingly referred to them as her pride and joy. Her favorite quote was: “I love you up above the sky, to deep below the sea.”

She is survived by her children Missy (Chris) Marshall and Craig Seeley; sister Joanne (Anthony) Ryan; six grandchildren William, Mykal, Callista, Baileigh, Olivia and Ben; and one great-grandchild, Baylynn, who she called “B”. She will also be dearly missed by her many nieces and nephews, whom she loved as her own.

Aside from her parents, Judy was predeceased by her husband Mike Seeley; her nephew Travis Jordan; her grandbaby Jude Marshall; and her father-in-law Eddie Seeley.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m. at Point Prim. In keeping with Judy’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Donations in Judy’s memory may be made to the VON, Red Cross, or the Yarmouth Cancer Center.

Judy will be forever remembered for her warmth, her laughter, and the love she gave so freely to all who knew her.
