Kevin James Farrell

Kevin James Farrell passed away peacefully at the age of 59 years, on July 12, 2022 in Meteghan, NS. He was born in Digby, NS, to the late Walter "Jim" Farrell of Conception Bay, Nfld., and Muriel (Small) of Grand Manan, NB.

Kevin was kind, generous and good-natured. His jaunty walk and hearty laugh were distinctive. He had a ready smile and a greeting for everyone he met. He made himself at home wherever he went. He could start a conversation with anyone.

Kevin attended vocational school and worked at a variety of jobs before moving to Ottawa in 2000 where he worked as a security guard in a mall. He returned to Nova Scotia after a few years and eventually settled back in Digby.

In his younger years, he enjoyed family activities such as camping, and playing card games and darts. Later, he spent time singing karaoke and dancing. His greatest joy was getting in a car and driving; it didn't matter where.

Kevin is survived by his brother, Randy Farrell (Darlene Auby); sister, Tammy Farrell-Walker (Mark); all of Digby, NS. He is also survived by his nephews, Jeffry "Jeff" Puruczki, and Jim Puruczki; nieces, Rebecca Walker and Rachel Walker; and great-nephew, Seth.

Kevin is predeceased by his father, Walter "Jim" Farrell; mother, Muriel Farrell; and sister, Darlene Puruczki.

We would like to extend thanks to the staff at La Maison Au Coucher Du Soleil for their support. Donations in memory can be made to the Society for the Friends of the Ferals. A private family service will be held.
