The last time I was in Weymouth, Mike and I went to the Legion to play some pool. We laughed and told old stories, and I snuck a few hugs in. He kept putting money in the jukebox and playing his favourite song, “Seven Spanish Angels”...

This is the memory I will hold on to, I will miss him the song says...
“Took another Angel Home”

I was not a close friend of Mike's, but I knew him, everyone did. Always friendly, laid back and one handsome dude. The last time I saw Mike was sometime in the 80's. I was living in Toronto and went home to Weymouth for a visit. Went to the legion for a beer hoping to see some old friends. I ran into my classmate from grades 1 to 12, Denise Robichaud and Mike was there with her. We three had a nice chat. Still remember it like it was yesterday. I am really sorry to hear that he has passed away, My deepest condolences to his family and loved ones. RIP Mike Fitzgerald.

Weymouth will miss mike.
As a teenager it was a dream in summer because michael would get off on a friday for a beer.
I was too young to drink then but I loved seeing him arrive downtown.
First thing he do is pull open his coveralls to his waist.
All the young gals would drill outside variety store because he
was so well built and always tanned up.
Sympathy to the family this week
