Gray, Nancy Mae (Vickery) of Granville Ferry, passed away July 9th, 2015 in Hants Community Hospital after a short battle with cancer. She was born July 6th, 1942 in Yarmouth to the late Keith and Viola (Greenwood) Vickery. Nancy was employed at CFB Cornwallis for 26 years and worked in Health care as a support worker for 12 years. She was a loving mother, sister and friend who enjoyed gardening, music, reading, travelling and puzzles. Nancy is survived by son, Sean, Annapolis; daughter, Carna, Mount Uniacke; sisters, Mary (Ed) Ramsay; Valerie (Maynard) Hersey; brother, Richard (Donna) Vickery; several nieces and nephews. Nancy was predeceased by son, Mark in infancy. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be 1pm, Friday July 17th at Jayne’s Funeral Home, 7 Birch Street, Digby (902-245-2525). Pastor Mark Cress will preside with interment in Woodlawn Cemetery. Donations in memory of Nancy may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation.
