Born in Digby, NS, she was the daughter of Austin Edward Height and Margery Woof.
Norma worked for many years at the Digby Hospital as assistant to the administrator and in the medical records department. Later, she moved to medical record at the McLeave Medical Center. After the medical center closed, she went on to run her own business as representative for Fina/Petro Canada selling bulk home heating fuels for several years. Norma loved to bowl and was an avid league bowler in the late 1960’s thru early 1970’s. She loved her two boys, her dogs, flower gardening, swimming at the beach in Barton, camping, and “The Cottage”. She was a prolific and talented knitter and crotchetier, creating beautiful afghans and numerous sets of baby clothes, mittens and toques over the years.
She is survived by her two sons, Rob Fadelle and Steven Fadelle as well as her two sisters, Edna (Height) MacKinnon and Joan (White) Gidney, as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by father Austin Height and mother Margery (Woof) White (Margery making the century mark of life before passing quietly). Also predeceasing her were her first child, daughter Kimmie and her first and only grandchild, Christopher.
No celebration of life or visitation will be held per Norma’s instructions. Ashes to be released to family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Norma’s name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
