Norman Junie Clark Rice

Rice, Norman Clark “Junie”-78, Little River, Digby Co. passed away February 28, 2012 in the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Norman was a son of the late Norman and Violet (Savary) Rice. Norman was a truck driver for many years in Ontario, retiring to Little River in 1995. Norman was very witty and had a great sense of humor; he loved life and took great pride in his garden and property. Norman’s family was very near and dear to his heart, they are grateful for his wonderful companion Brenda Lohnes for sharing this last part of his life.

Norman will be greatly missed by sons, Brian, Kim (Pat), daughters, Cheryl Rice, Cindy Patterson, Tracey Rice and Susan Rice, nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren, also several nieces and nephews. Norman was predeceased by his wife Laura Rice, son, Garth and son in-law Mark.

Visitation 7-9pm Thursday March 1, 2012 from Jayne’s Funeral Home, 7 Birch St., Digby, NS (245-2525) also where the funeral will be held at 10am Friday March 2nd. Pastor Noel Facey presiding. Interment in Hillcrest Cemetery, Little River. Family and friends are invited to a reception following the service in Little River Baptist Church Vestry. Family flowers only, donations in memory of Norman can be made to the Little River Baptist Church.
