Reginald Chandler,93, of Bridgetown, formerly of Southville, Digby County passed away peacefully on October 10, 2019,in Mountain Lea Lodge with one of his angels, Rose Sarty, holding his hand.
Reg was born on May 31,1926 to Doris Bright (Cromwell) in Southville.
After his mother died when Reg was a youngster, he was raised by Rose Cromwell.
As a young man Reg travelled to Ontario, Calgary and British Columbia, where he worked for CPR. On retiring, he moved back to the homestead in Southville.
The passions in Reg’s life were his cadillac, cowboy hats and cucumbers.
Reg is survived by numerous cousins.
Besides his mother, he was predeceased by his ex wife, Gloria.
A graveside service will be held on November 6, 2019 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph’s cemetery, Weymouth, Nova Scotia at with Father Raymond Odumuko officiating.
Donation in Reg’s memory can be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
The family wishes to say a sincere thank you to the staff of Mountain Lea Lodge who went above and beyond to make Reg’s last year happy. He truly loved them all.
