Scragg, Richard James age 77, Bear River passed away July 2, 2014 in the Digby General Hospital. Born in Middleton, he was a son of the late Gordon and Belva (Haight) Scragg. Surviving are daughter, Cheryl (Tony) Houston; sons, Richard Jr. Scragg and Ron (Alison) Scragg; grandchildren, Melissa, Lindsay, Scott, Jake, Brad, David, Mackenzie, Sydney, Eric, Cassie, Kristen. Richard was predeceased by his longtime companion, Thelma Amon. A private family graveside service and interment will take place at a later date in Mount Hope Cemetery, Bear River. Family and friends are invited to his former residence at 2pm Saturday, July 19th, 2014. Donations in memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
